GRANITE CITY, Ill., September 18, 2026 Wildfire CityPages has completed a full build-out of its Eats directory, adding every restaurant and food destination across every city in the Wildfire network. The effort was made possible by the platform's free Name Plate listing feature, which allowed Wildfire to include all local eateries regardless of whether they are paid advertisers.
"We couldn't just have paying customers and highlighted banners," said George Sykes, President of Wildfire Internet. "Now, when a visitor comes to the site, they see every single place to eat."
The decision to use the Name Plate feature to seed the Eats directories was intentional from the start. A directory built only around paying businesses leaves gaps that make it less useful to the very residents it is meant to serve. By ensuring complete coverage first, Wildfire CityPages gives visitors a reliable, go-to resource for finding somewhere to eat, whether they are a longtime local or new to the area.
Wildfire has made every effort to build an accurate and complete listing, but acknowledges that a project of this scope is never fully finished.
